Siirgista Bros

Siirgista Bros

Something must be going right for this expanding burger joint. As someone whose visited several Siirgista Bros branches I can confirm these burgers are the real deal if you’re looking for classic meaty burgers laden with toppings.

Siirgista Bros established their first branch over 5 years ago and have expanded to 7 across London. Having eaten at 4 of the branches I can say the quality is definitely something that is controlled across the franchises. Read on for a review of some of their burgers and a surprise you’ve probably never seen a burger restaurant provide before!

Location

Currently there are 7 branches across London; Shepard’s Bush, Baker Street, Piccadilly (these 2 being the busiest from my experience), Ealing, Finchley, Wilsden Green and Swiss Cottage.

Is Siirgista Bros Halal?

Siirgista Bros serves only halal food across all restaurants and does not serve alcohol.

Food

Whilst there is a meal deal combo available at lunch, outside of this time there are no meal combinations you can order. This makes it slightly more expensive than other burger places as the cost of each item is slightly lower when combining with a meal.

Nevertheless, I still went for the full course burger meal – if that has ever been said! I’ve always been surprised by the number of options available at Siirgista Bros, both for burgers and starters. I counted 16 starters and over 20 burgers – there were also 2 types of salads, but how many of you are really interested in those??

I’ve previously tried their nachos but wasn’t overly impressed by them so my regular starter has become their spicy buffalo wings. These are ‘free range halal chicken wings, coated in hot and spicy buffalo sauce, served with a side of house-made stilton and buttermilk dressing.’

Siirgista Bros Spicy Wings

The sauce on these wings were definitely spicy. It wasn’t overpowering but make sure you’ve ordered a drink as well – it’ll be needed! You really will want to lick any extra sauce off your fingers!

I seem to have really wanted spicy food that day as I also opted for the chilli cheese fries. As I pulled the fries apart they oozed with cheese melting off them. This will defiantly become a favourite of mine.

The portions for both were enough to be shared between two people, remember there is a burger to make room for as well! Siirgista Bros do serve ‘premium fries’ but I’ve never seen what was so premium about them. They’re thin cut fries with a little bit of rosemary salt. My recommendation is to go for something different then these fries.

On to the burgers and we had four different burgers; Spicy Nacho Libre Beef Burger, Spicy Chicken Burger, Philly Cheese burger and Mexicali Burger.

I love the contrasting textures of something soft with something crunchy. The burger was spicy but I was most amazed by the kaleidoscope of colours and flavours that the burger had. A firm favourite of mine.

The chicken burger a staple everywhere. Not much to say here with the chicken itself, it did the job and I wouldn’t have an issue if it was given to me.

Sirrgista Bros however adds a few of its gourmet touches to this, free range chicken, saffron, rosemary and garlic marinade with a guacamole topping. You might miss this as one of your considerations when you see all the other types of burgers but this is a safe option for everyone – and you can see from the pics they don’t go light on the sauces.

The Philly Cheese Steak burger is from their new American range. Sirrgista Bros are always evolving their menu, which I like.

The Philly Cheese Steak Burger with their aged steak topped with roasted Portobello mushroom and Siirgista mix cheese was soooo tasty. The cost of this burger is a little higher than the rest but is so worth it! The steak was perfect and the mix of cheeses was heavenly. Eating this was messy but I didn’t mind one bit!

Bit of a trend here by choosing either Mexican or American named burgers! Here for the Mexcali burger we had crisp baby gem lettuce, heritage tomato, red onion and our own burger sauce, topped with sliced jalapeño chillies, smoky chilli cheese and chipotle mayonnaise.

That was all I had to review for Siirgista Bros until my workplace recently decided to hold a virtual party and gave a £20 allowance to buy some food to enjoy whilst we played a virtual game of Pictionary with everyone.

I decided to try the aged steak burger and premium fries and the burger certainly filled the meat void I had that afternoon.

The burger had roasted Portobello mushroom inside along with cheese to provide some more meaty texture. I didn’t notice too much of a difference between this and the Philly Steak burger.

I take back what I said about the premium fries. The fries definitely taste premium! The fries are light and crunchy and a worthy side to enjoy even if there’s a dozen sides that Siirgista Bros offers.

Now on to the nice surprise! Along with the order I received a handy carrier bag which can be folded into its own mini bag! I didn’t understand what it was when I first looked in the delivery box but was pleasantly surprised and will be happily using it for all my grocery shopping 🙂

This bag was a nice surprise! Thanks Siirgista Bros!

Atmosphere

The two most frequented Siirgista Bros I visit are Finchley and Baker Street. Very different atmospheres and I’m sure it’s the same with other branches. But the vibe is very old school English throughout each restaurant with the modern burger options providing a contrasting atmosphere to the décor.

Value

As gourmet burger places go the prices are on par. The options that Siirgista Bros provides is unrivalled for an all Halal restaurant and this is the main selling point I believe.

Siirgista Bros are always revamping their menus with two of their latest offerings being a Vegan and American range.

Service

Not much to say here, you order at the counter and they make the burger out in the open. I always enjoy seeing the burgers being made at the front rather than having them brought out from a kitchen in the back.

Overall

Purely due to the burger options I’ve got to boost the score by 1. This place is one where you’ll definitely come back for more.

Note: If I have mentioned that a restaurant is Halal it is due to them displaying a Halal sign or asking the management on the status. However, please confirm yourself as well to avoid any doubts.
